II. Write the readings of the following Kanji in Hiragana.

1. 休みの日が少ない。Yasumi no hi ga sukunai.

休み = やすみ

日 = ひ

2. 森の中は暗いです。Mori no naka wa kurai desu. It is dark in the forest.

森 = もり

中 = なか

暗い = くらい

3. あの人はこの短大の学長です。Ano hito wa kono tandai no gakuchou desu. That man is the president of this junior college.

あの人 = あのひと

短大 = たんだい

学長 = がくちょう

4. その少年は手と足が長い。Sono shounen wa te to ashi ga nagai. That boy has long arms and legs.

少年 = しょうねん

手 = て

足 = あし

長い = ながい

5. 水は高いところから低いところへながれる。Mizu wa takai tokoro kara hikui tokoro e nagareru. Water flows from the higher place to the lower place.

水 = みず

高い = たかい

低い = ひくい

6. 小学校と中学校と高校と大学  shougakkou to chuugakkou to koukou to daigaku  a primary school, a junior high school, a senior high school and a university

小学校 = しょうがっこう

中学校 = ちゅうがっこう

高校 = こうこう

大学 = だいがく

I. Fill in the blanks with an appropriate Kanji.

1. 新しい年 = 新年 atarashii toshi = shinnen

2. 古い車 = 中古車 furui kuruma = chuukosha  an old car, a second-hand car
